What is this?
The Configurators hub gives you access to all Canwil product configurators from one place. Each configurator has an admin view (with pricing, costs, and orders) and a customer-facing view (clean configuration experience).
The Configurators
- ⛳ TruSim Golf Screen — Configure impact screens, sidewall drapes, and gap fillers for golf simulators. Customers save quotes and submit orders directly. Three buttons on the card: Admin View (orders + access requests), Configurator (the customer-facing V2 design tool), and 🎯 Assign Quote to Customer (admin tool — see next section).
- 🏗️ TruTruss XT — 3D truss cage builder. Enter dimensions, and it auto-selects the right pieces from the Eastern Sports Industrial catalog and generates a cut list and BOM.
- 🪢 Canvas Configurator — Custom cut & sew for flat panels, cylinders, and box shapes. Has AI voice parsing — speak a description and it configures automatically.
- 👕 Industrial Laundry — Canvas-style flexible placement for ironer pads, wax cloths, cleaning cloths, and aprons. Drag & drop parts onto base fabric with live costing.
- 🔧 FME Covers — Coming soon. Foreign material exclusion covers for nuclear and power plant applications (Ty-Flot partnership).
🎯 Assign Quote to Customer (TruSim)
Admin-only tool for putting a quote on a customer's saved-quotes list — useful when a V1 customer migrated to V2 and lost their old drawings, or when staff want to pre-design a quote for a customer to review and order.
Workflow:
- Pick the destination customer — search by name, email, or company.
- Open the V2 configurator — design the screen, drape, or gap filler. Save it normally. The save lands under your admin account.
- Refresh your quotes list, find the one you just made, click Assign. The quote moves to the customer's account — they see it in their saved quotes when they next sign in.
- Step 4 (recovery) — moves any quote between any two accounts. Use this if you assigned to the wrong customer, or if a customer accidentally saved under the wrong login.
Every quote row also has a small red ✕ button for deleting the quote from whichever account currently owns it — useful for cleaning up duplicates or test quotes. V2 itself is unchanged — this tool only operates on Firestore quote documents, never on the customer-facing configurator.
Admin vs Customer View
Each vertical has two modes. Admin view shows internal pricing, margins, BOMs, and order management. Customer view is a clean configurator without pricing details — share this link with customers.
Production Feedback Loop
After production, Nik or Alma enter actual production times. The system compares actuals vs. estimates and suggests labor rate adjustments to keep quotes accurate over time.
💡 Tip: Each configurator saves quotes to Firestore. Customers can log back in and pick up where they left off — no need to re-enter dimensions.
